Petromax – Impact plate HK350/HK500 brass
The impact plate is a useful and recommended accessory for every Petromax high-intensity lamp. In the case of a defective incandescent stocking, small but very hot flames can spread in the lamp and loosen solder joints on the tank. The impact plate, which is inserted into the carrying frame above the centering floor, shields the tank. Due to the protective impact plate, the tank remains intact even if the incandescent mantles are damaged. The baffle plate is also required for the installation of the Petromax radiator.
This baffle plate is made for lamps built from 2000 onwards. These can be recognized by the screwed support rods of the carrying frame. For lamps built before 2000, the support rods are riveted to the frame.
