Grilling over a wood fire becomes child's play with the Traeger Ironwood. Simply set the desired temperature and start the grill at the push of a button. The Digital Controller now takes over the complete control of the grill and thus keeps the temperature constant regardless of the outside temperature.
The controller measures the temperature of the cooking cabinet every second and can thus react directly to fluctuations. In the event of temperature deviations, more or fewer pellets are transported directly into the combustion chamber in order to keep the set temperature constant.
The Traeger Ironwood 885 pellet grill offers a temperature range from a low 75 degrees for the low & slow range to 260 degrees for rich roasted aromas when searing. The grill grate can be brought into a "frying position" to achieve ideal results.
The electronic control of the Traeger pellet grills
With the help of an electronically controlled screw conveyor, the required amount of pellets is always transported into the combustion chamber, where the ignition system together with the fan then specifically controls the burn-up. This is the only way to ensure that ideal temperatures always prevail in the cooking cabinet and that the fine smoke can circulate optimally.
Because in the D2 model series the brushless motor is directly connected to the screw conveyor coupled to the fan, the respective target temperature is reached faster and more accurately. The system is therefore not only more profitable but also more durable.
